Purpose
The Kyoto Art Centre provides a "production room" free of charge as part of its "Production Support Programme"to support the activities of emerging and young artists and others who wish to widely present the results of their artistic creation. Applications are accepted twice a year (September and March), and the users are selected after a selection process. The Production Support Programme welcomes young artists who want to start their activities in earnest, as well as individuals and groups who want to develop their own initiatives by making use of the production room environment. The project aims to encourage artists to brush up their own activities by taking their time to work on their production (maximum of six months), presenting their work and then reflecting on their work and production (submission of a project report). For previous production room users, please see the introduction page, and for information and photos of each production room, Floor Guide. Artists who wish to experiment and further develop their work are invited to apply.
