The “Art x Business Co-Creation Base ‘Utsuwa’, “Human Forum, Inc.” which operates a circulation festival, and the outdoor film screening team “Voyage Twilight (Kokaihakumei)” will collaborate to launch the “KYOTO MATERIAL YARD” project with the theme of “circulation of materials”.
A kick-off event will be held on September 21 and 22, 2024.

Concept

This project was born as a result of the encounter and ongoing dialogue between “Art x Business Co-Creation Base ’Utsuwa”, “Human Forum, Inc.” and “Voyage Twilight(Kokaihakumei)” at the “Kyoto City Regional Enterprises Future Power Conference” held at Kyoto Art Center in December 2023.
Using “materials” as a point of contact, the project aims to realize a sustainable, recycling-oriented creative environment by creating new connections between artists and companies, local communities, etc., while stimulating creativity among all people, such as matching artists and companies and experimenting with a system for storing materials and handing them over to those who need them.
The kick-off event will be held as one of the social experiments of the “Kyoto Regional Enterprises Future Festival 2024,” in which local enterprises will interact and try new social experiments for the purpose of solving social issues and creating new value.
