Since 2000, Kyoto Art Center has been implementing an artist-in-residence program to support emerging and young artists and researchers in Kyoto who seek to create new artistic expression through exposure to different cultures.
As one of these activities, we have been implementing the Exchange Program, which provides opportunities for Japanese artists to stay and work abroad in collaboration with foreign cultural institutions.
The “Artist in Residence Program 2025 Exchange: NKD (Nordic Artists’ Centre Dale) / OCA (Office for Contemporary Art Norway)” is an exchange program for artists in the visual arts who wish to stay and work in Dale, Norway. We are pleased to announce that the “Exchange: NKD (Nordic Artists’ Centre Dale) / OCA (Office for Contemporary Art Norway)” has selected one artist from among 14 applications for a residency in Dale, Norway.
Dispatching artist:Hitomi USUI
Hitomi USUI will stay at NKD (Nordic Artists’ Centre Dale) in Norway from July to September 2025.
