About the Library

Kyoto Art Center collects a wide range of materials related to art and culture, such as business records, exhibition catalogs from all over Japan, and books on traditional culture and performing arts, dance, and theater. A part of it is open to the public in a small library in one classroom, and anyone can view it. It can also be used as a material to further enjoy the exhibitions, performances, and workshops held at the museum.

  • Smoking is prohibited in the library
  • Please refrain from eating or drinking in the library.
  • Please leave large luggage in the locker (free of charge) in the room.
  • Please refrain from self-study that does not require books.
  • Materials cannot be borrowed.
  • Photographs of materials may not be photographed.

About the Information Corner

About the Information Corner

In the information corner, we have arranged flyers and free papers for cultural and art-related events sent from various places. You are free to bring the printed materials on the shelves.

If you would like to have it on the shelves, please send it by mail or bring it to the office with the "Information Corner Arrangement Request" (up to 30 copies). Excludes regular classroom recruitment and for-profit activities. Items that have passed the exhibition period will be disposed of at our center.)

In addition, we have opened the Kyoto City Culture and Arts General Consultation Desk (KACCO).
We provide comprehensive support for disseminating information and providing consultation on support for the activities of those involved in culture and the arts.
We help you introduce consultation contacts according to the content of your worries and organize the points of the consultation content. Depending on the content, we will respond in cooperation with related organizations and legal and accounting experts.
