An art center utilizing the former Meirin Elementary School. As a creative hub for culture and art in Kyoto, the center holds exhibitions of contemporary art, dance, theater, and traditional performing arts, as well as an artist-in-residence program.
Studio to support artists
To support the activities of up-and-coming or young artists, we provide a studio free of charge as part of our production support program.

Artist-in-Residence Program
A program for artists, creators, researchers, etc. in the field of art to stay in Kyoto for a certain period of time to engage in creative activities and exchange.

Production support project (Production Office) / Meirin workshop
The Kyoto Art Centre provides a "production room"free of charge as part of its "Production Support Programme"to support the activities of emerging and young artists and others who wish to widely present the results of their artistic creation. Applications are accepted twice a year (September and March), and the users are selected after a selection process.

Traditional Theatre Training (T.T.T.)
Traditional Theatre Training is a traditional performing arts training program for people involved in the performing arts.
